Terms and Conditions

Job Description
 
Performs pharmacovigilance activities for all assigned Novartis projects or products including identifying and analyzing safety signals based on a comprehensive evaluation of postmarketing data and Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) from clinical trials.
1. Monitors the clinical safety of projects/products and responds appropriately
2. Performs medical assessment and related activities for single cases, including collecting addi- tional follow-up information as necessary, medical evaluation of quality defects, review of line listings of single cases, and preparation of investigator notifications. Medical review of single case reports will be performed by associates possessing medical degree.
3. Identifies safety signals based on the review of solicited or unsolicited single cases and confirm that they are not overlooked. Performs signal detection, monitoring and evaluation based on single cases, aggregate data and signal detection tools.
4.Provides input into responses to inquires from regulatory authorities or health care profes- sionals on safety issues. Prepares safety data for health authority review boards. Provides input to responses for legal queries and CPO requests involving safety issues.
5. Provides pharmacovigilance input to initial development of basic prescribing information and is responsible for pharmacovigilance input into updates of this information.
6. Prepares medical input to aggregate clinical safety regulatory reports
7. Provides input to safety profiling and risk management plan
8. Provides guidance as appropriate to Clinical Safety Operations for the coding and causal- ity/expectedness assessment of adverse event reports.
9. Provides expert evaluation on the clinical context of adverse event reports, assessment on the medical conditions, and the implications on Novartis drugs.
10. Collaborates productively with colleagues from Clinical Research, Drug Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Medical Information, Statistics, Safety Data Management, Epidemiology and other related departments.
11. Participates in review of clinical study protocols/reports/other regulatory documents as needed.
12. Provides relevant input for Global Program/Brand Team (GPT/GBT), Global Clinical Team (GCT), and CTT meetings as needed.
13. Provides support as needed for licensing activities, regulatory authority inspections and for project/product recall activities.

Candidate profile
 
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy/ Bachelor of Science in Nursing / PharmD/PhD in relevant field or Medical Degree (MBBS or MD) required Medical degree with specialization preferred. Medical degree is essential for associates performing medical review of single case reports. Fluent in spoken and written English. Understanding in another major language (e.g. French, German, Spanish) preferred.
•3 years clinical experience postdoctoral requirement:
•At least 3 years in drug development in a major pharmaceutical company including 2 years in drug safety at an operational or medical position
•Proven ability to analyze, interpret, discuss, and represent safety information both in writing and orally.
•Experience in preparing or contributing to preparation of clinical safety assessments and regulatory re- ports/submissions involving safety information.
•Experience with (safety or others) issue management
•Experience in drug development, clinical trial methodology, regulatory requirements, scientific methodology, statistics and writing of publications

Job Description
 
Role Summary/Purpose
 
Territory Manager is responsible for selling GE Healthcare contrast media and nuclear medicine products. The role will focus on Madurai and surrounding areas in southern TamilNadu. This role is responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory as well as maintaining customer relationships with the accounts in their established geographic territory. This role is primarily responsible for private practice sector accounts

Essential Responsibilities:
 
• Prospecting for new private practice / governemnt sector customers and business in addition to growing and maintaining the existing customer portfolio, and qualifying new leads to maintain identified business to support a balanced sales funnel for future sales in the contrast media segment
• Generating proposals, preparing sales quotations, planning customer meetings, and demonstrating capabilities on assigned products in assigned territory
• Sales negotiation and deal closure at the customer, interfacing with all key buying influencers such as direct users of the product, but also possibly department heads or CXO level personnel
• Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge of GE and competitive products
• Achieve annual and quarterly achievement of multiple order and revenue targets through accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting, by prioritizing selling time to generate sales volume, achieve account penetration and complete territory coverage
• Maintaining satisfactory after-sale relationships and development of long-term customer relationships coupled with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs
• Develop account penetration strategies for key target and competitive accounts and communicating current market intelligence back to the business, along with field concerns, issues and requirements
• Providing leadership in market analysis and development/execution of strategies and action plans to drive product sales

• Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
• Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

• Drive continuous improvement on all related processes, work instructions, and procedures to ensure ongoing standardization and simplification of the Quality Management System.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- 4+ years of consultative sales experience including strategic selling and negotiation in a complex sales environment involving multiple decision-makers/influencers
- Proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite products
- Willingness to travel within your specified geographic region with occasional overnight stays depending on geography and business needs as well as to sales meetings and tradeshows
- To the extent you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a GE owned/leased, privately owned/leased or rental vehicle for company business, you must be willing to submit to a check of your driving record
- Ability to communicate using local language

- Previous experience in contrast media and nuclear medicine products
- Previous Healthcare high-end capital equipment sales experience or LifeSciences or Pharma
- Robust interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization
- Demonstrated ability to analyze customer data and develop financially sound sales solutions
- 4+ years of demonstrated strategic selling skills including customer presentations, price quoting, product demonstration, negotiation, closing and growing a sales territory
- Proven customer acumen and relationship building skills in a healthcare environment
- Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process
- Strong written and verbal communication and clear thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages
- Solid process orientation, demonstrated resource management and allocation experience, and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
