IBSD Recruitment 2013 For Senior Technical Assistant and Laboratory Assistant
Institute
of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal, a research
institute under Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, invites
applications from the suitable candidates for the following positions
for its extramural research project funded by Department of
Biotechnology, Govt. of India. Prescribed application format is
available at the Institute’s website or from the receptionist of the
Institute. Duly fill in application form along with photo copies of
attested certificate / testimonials in support of age and educational
qualifications with recent self-attested passport size photograph of the
candidate may be submitted to the undersigned on or before 16th September 2013
during Office hour. Only eligible / short listed candidates will be
intimated for an interview before the selection committee. The selection
procedure will be strictly adhered to Govt. of India norms.

Duration
31st March, 2014or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier.
Emoluments / Consolidated pay
Rs.10000/-p.m. consolidated
Qualification
M.Sc.in Microbiology, Biotechnology,
Life Sciences with specialization in Microbial Biotechnology.
Preferences may be given to those having hand to hand work experience in
cyanobacterial/microalgal research.

Qualification
B.Sc. in Biological streams with basic
knowledge of handling of equipments. Laboratory experience will be
treated as extra merit.
Title of the project and name of funding agency: Screening for extracellular protease activity from stock bacterial isolates of NE region of India
Name & number of post: Laboratory Assistant (One)
Duration
Three (03) years from date of sanction or till completion of project whichever is earlier.

Rs.7000/-p.m. consolidated
Qualification
B.Sc. in Biological streams with basic
knowledge of handling of equipments. Laboratory experience will be
treated as extra merit.
1.
The above positions are purely temporary and co- terminus with the
project. The selected candidate shall not claim for regular appointment
either to IBSD, Imphal, RCIBSD, Sikkim or DBT, New Delhi.
2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
3. The details of the advertisement is available in the Institute’s
website (ibsd.gov.in) or as hard copy from the receptionist of the
Institute.
4. The name of the position applied should be clearly written on the front of the envelope.
5. Application form must accompany degree certificate and mark-sheet
which is essential for preliminary screening. Failure to enclose these
documents with application will result in direct rejection of the
application form.
6. The upper age limit for Senior Technical Assistant and Laboratory
Assistant shall be 28 years which is relaxed upto 5 years in case of
candidates belonging to SC/ ST, Women, Physically Challenged and OBCs.
