MAT September 2013 Exam Syllabus and Pattern Schedule
All India Management Association (AIMA) conducts MAT for four times i.e. February, May, September and December. A national level exam like MAT, the qualified students go to the famous and AICTE approved B-Schools excluding IIMs.
A last year student can also apply.

Exam Pattern for MAT 2013
MAT is objective type exam. It has total 200 questions with the total time allocation of 150 minutes.
Allocation of Marks for MAT:
1 mark awarded for each correct attempt and negative marking is also there for incorrect attempt.
Syllabus for MAT
There are 4 papers in MAT. They are as follows:
Quantitative Ability:
Quadratic and linear equations, Percentages, Profit & Loss, Partnership, Algebra, Time-Speed-Distance, Simple Interest & Compound Interest, Pipes and Cisterns, Instalment Payments, Binomial Expansion, Logarithm, Surds & Indices Etc.
Verbal Ability:
Sentence Correction, Verbal Reasoning, , Jumbled paragraphs Syllogisms , Analogies, Contextual usage, Different usage of same word idioms, odd man out etc.
Reasoning:
Graphs, Critical reasoning, Visual reasoning, Assertion and reasons, Statements and assumptions, Identifying Probably true, Syllogisms, Functions, Family tree, Symbol Based problems, Coding and decoding, Sequencing etc.
General Awareness:
Current Affairs, Business, Punch line of companies, Top officials of big companies, Major corporate events, award and prizes, Books and authors, Science, History, Geography, Sports, Finance, Politics etc.
