The National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) took birth as National Tissue Culture Facility in March 11, 1986 with a mandate of basic research, teaching & training, and as a national repository for cell lines/hybridomas etc. The centre is located in the midst of academically enriched environment of University of Pune campus, Pune.
During its transformation, the centre has undergone several changes to facilitate achievement of its goals. The centre has expanded its scientific charter to strengthen basic research in the areas of cancer biology, cell biology, immunology, genomics and proteomics.

Name of the Project: “TBomics: An omics approach for diagnosing tuberculosis" under supervision of Dr. Shekhar C. Mande, Director

Upper age limit: 35 Years

Qualification & Experience

 
Essential: Ph.D. in any branch of life science or Equivalent Degree or 3 years of research experience after M.Tech / MVSc / M.Pharm as demonstrated by Peer - Reviewed Publications. Those who have submitted Ph.D. thesis may also apply.
Desirable: Experience in handling Baculovirus expression system

Month emoluments: Rs.22,000/- + 20% HRA p.m.

Tenure: Two Year Nine Months

Candidates reporting after 9.30 am will not be permitted to attend the interview, which may be noted.

• Upper age limit will be considered as on the date of interview. Age relaxation of 5 years in case of SC/ST/Women/PH and 3 years in case of OBC candidates will be given as per Government of India rules.
  
• Reservation as per Govt, of India norms will be followed.
  
• Marks relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates i.e. minimum 50% marks.
  
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
  
• Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
  
• SC/ST candidates should produce proof of their caste certificate from    appropriate authority and OBC candidates should produce latest non-creamy layer certificate in the prescribed form for claiming the reservation benefits.
  
• Please bring “Bio-data Form.doc & ‘‘‘Preference Form.Doc duly filled in and all original certificates showing date of birth, qualification, statement of marks of the exam passed, certificate of past experience, certificate in support of present employment, salary certificate & other relevant documents along with a set of attested copies.
